How do I get the best burn?
On every burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the container before blowing it out. This usually takes about 1 hour per inch of the candle's width. It helps prevent tunneling.
How long should I burn it?
Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time. Let the candle cool completely before relighting.
How do I care for a wood wick?
My limited jar styles are poured in glass jars with a wood wick. Trim it to 1/8 inch before each burn, keep it flat and straight, and let a full melt pool form across the top each time. If the flame is small, the wick may need a trim; if it goes out, relight and let it catch for a few seconds.
How do I trim a tin candle wick?
My 4 oz tins use a lead-free wick. Trim it to 1/4 inch before every burn. This keeps the flame steady and reduces soot.
When should I stop using a candle?
Stop burning when about 1/2 inch of wax remains in the bottom.
Candle safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from children, pets, drafts and anything that can catch fire.
- Burn on a heat-safe surface.
- Do not move a candle while it is burning or the wax is liquid.
- Tins and jars get hot while burning.
How do I use wax melts?
Break off one or two cubes and place them in the dish of a wax warmer. As the wax melts, the scent fills the room. When the scent fades, let the wax cool and harden, pop it out, and add fresh cubes.
- Use in a wax warmer only.
- Never leave a warmer on unattended.
- Do not eat. Keep away from kids and pets.
